About PRFC
Maine's premier rugby club.

Portland men's team is newly promoted to NERFU Division 1 while the women's teams currently competes in Division 2. Both teams have their primary league season during the Fall, and enjoy competitive "friendly" fixtures with teams from all leagues throughout the rest of the year. We welcome new players anytime, allowing novices to pick up the game and learn at their own pace. More experienced players should easily fit in with our well-seasoned squad.

Portland Rugby Presents: Pig & Beer on the Pier

Portland Rugby presents: "Pig & Beer on the Pier" - our first public festival and pig roast to benefit the Men's, Women's and Youth clubs. The event will be held Saturday May 9, 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Maine State Pier.

Spring Schedule Firming Up

The men's team has scheduled a number of pre-season games which, weather permitting, will provide a good tune up for the opening league game on April 4th. The current schedule is posted below, but stay tuned for additional games to be tagged on later in the season.

Portland wrap up the season with 2-2 league record

Portland experienced both the highs and the lows in their first season back in Division 1, coming away with a 2-2 record in league play.

Training Moves To Memorial Stadium

With the fading daylight we have moved training to the fllodlit Memorial Stadium at Deering High School. The time slot has also changed, with training on Tuesday now beginning at 8pm and on Thursday at 7pm.

Help Support Our Rally Campaign

Each year PRFC turns to its fan base to help support on-going operations of the club. While players continue to foot the bill for the majority of expenses through their dues, we still need the support of fans, friends, family and old boys to help cover the inevitable shortfall.

Fall Training Starts

Fall training will be getting underway in earnest, starting this Thursday, at 6pm on Quinn Field in Deering Oaks Park. Training will be at this location on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from now on, until September 9th, when we'll be moving under lights on Memorial Stadium.

We couldn't operate without
the help of these great companies
