Founded in 1969, Portland Rugby Club is Maine's premier rugby club. The club's long history makes it one of the supporting pillars of New England Rugby, routinely fields two men's sides and one women's side each weekend, encompassing players of all ages and levels of experience. Youth rugby is also growing, thanks in large part to the efforts of the club's former players.
Portland men's and women's teams currently play in NERFU Division II during the Fall season, and enjoys competitive "friendly" fixtures with teams in both upper and lower leagues throughout the rest of the year.
Opportunities abound for novices to pick up the game and learn at your own pace, while more experienced players should easily fit in with our well-seasoned teams.
