The current Women’s Team was restarted in 2005. A small group of women played summer sevens and then took New England by storm – undefeated in their first year as a Division 3 team and subsequently moving up to Division 2 the next year.
Players from PWRFC also coached a strong high school girls’ team. The team had a three-year winning record against both high school and college teams and were nationally ranked as 7th in 2005. They went to the U19 National Championships and then hosted the High School Girls Championship in Portland in 2006. In addition to attending several National Championships, the team won 6 out of 7 years of New England Championships. Our revitalized girls high school program definitely has a proud history!
