On November 21, Portland Rugby was inducted into the Maine Irish Heritage Center’s Halla Cairde or Hall of Friends. The Halla Cairde honors remarkable individuals and organizations who have significantly contributed to the Maine Irish Heritage Center and the broader community, celebrating their enduring legacy and dedication to preserving and promoting Irish culture, heritage, and community spirit.

It was a festive evening of music, food, and drink where Portland Rugby was able to showcase our work on the Field of Dreams and the breadth of our program offerings (i.e., youth, high school, and adult teams). The Club has maintained many long standing relationships with Irish teams and players, with the latest chapter to be written as our Women’s+ team tours the Emerald Isle this Spring! Our quest to grow the sport in Maine and beyond is being noticed and honored!
