Youth Rugby Clinics & Training

We are thrilled to announce that sign-ups for our high school rugby teams for the Spring 2025 season are now open! We are also welcoming a new…but not so new club as one of the high school teams, The Central Maine Stripers! The Stripers are making a return in high school rugby! All clubs are recruiting for boys and girls+ players! Any effort to direct new players towards our teams will help solidify us more than ever for our second season coming this Spring! The link to our sign-ups and interest form page is HERE.

For those interested in coaching or volunteering at ANY level of the game please mark your calendars for October 13th! Seacoast is hosting a Level 1 Coaching Certification (formerly L200) for October 13th from 8:30am to 5:00pm at the Dover Elks Club. You can register now through your Rugby Xplorer profile! Hurry before it appears on the public site. USA Rugby is cracking down on the uncertified “assistant coach” idea. So, in order to be a coach and still have us be eligible for insurance, all persons involved as a coach must now be Level 1!

Additionally, a referee course is in the works—details to follow soon.

Last and coming very soon, don’t miss out on the Free Jacks rugby team coming to Freeport, on September 29th! There will be two great clinic opportunities: a youth clinic for kids under 14 from 10am-12pm, and an RTG session for players 14 and over 1pm-3pm. Be sure to sign up and secure your spot HERE!

In addition to the Free Jacks clinic, we’re planning to host a few beginner’s rugby clinics for high schoolers this fall and winter—dates are still TBD, so stay tuned for more details.

Youth rugby in the region is exploding and that is thanks to our fantastic community!
